Our most notable celebration is our Annual Fish Fry. We host this every year on the Friday after Labor Day. It is open to the community and free of charge. Facility staff serve up a tasty meal of fish, fries, hushpuppies and more. There are activities for children young and old. It is a much talked about event and something we look forward to as a way to give back to the community.

Christmas time is also a special time of year when we host an open house for kids to come and visit Santa. We show off our Christmas decorations and serve some goodies. The Christmas season concludes with a party for our residents at which time gifts are given to all residents. These gifts are either donated by taking a name from the Angel Tree or purchased with donated proceeds.

At Easter, the facility teams up with Jim “Muggins” Bennett for the Annual Tri-Cities Easter Egg Hunt. Some 1,500 eggs are boiled and colored at the facility, and the hunt is held on the facility grounds the Saturday before Easter.
